Soden Taylor Homes was founded in 2015 by David Soden-Taylor, but David's story in construction started long before then.

A carpenter by trade, David cut his teeth working on challenging sloping blocks and traditional stick-frame construction, learning his craft alongside old-school carpenters before prefabricated framing became commonplace. Much of the work was measured, built and perfected by hand on site, demanding genuine skill, patience and an eye for detail.​ Those early years shaped the builder David is today.

With more than 15 years' experience as a carpenter and builder, David is a self-confessed perfectionist who refuses to accept anything less than a standard he's proud to put his name to. He still believes there is no substitute for being on site, which is why you'll see him there from the very first site works all the way through to handover — and everything in between. David leads our onsite team, coordinates our trusted trades and personally oversees the craftsmanship and details of every home we build.

David was later joined in the business by his brother, Aaron, bringing a very different but complementary set of skills.​ With a Bachelor's Degree in International Business and a background in business and operations, Aaron started his first company at 22. Having also undertaken several property development projects over the years, he had always held a strong interest in real estate, design and construction. That passion eventually led him to join David at Soden Taylor Homes.

Today, Aaron is usually the first person you'll speak with and remains closely involved throughout your entire building journey — from those first conversations through design, selections, approvals, construction and ultimately handover.

We're brothers, but we bring two very different strengths to the business — and that's exactly why Soden Taylor Homes works.

David leads the construction and craftsmanship on site, while Aaron guides the planning, communication and client experience.  Behind us is a close-knit team of staff, experienced professionals, trades and suppliers who share the same commitment to quality and take genuine pride in the homes we create. Many of these relationships have been built over years, giving us a team we know, trust and are proud to have representing Soden Taylor Homes.

Together, we bring the practical and personal sides of building under one roof — backed by a team who understand that the smallest details matter just as much as the big ones.

But at its heart, Soden Taylor Homes is still a family business.

We've deliberately kept our approach to building personal. We want you to know who's building your home. We want you to feel comfortable picking up the phone, asking questions and being part of the process. And we want the experience of building your home to feel collaborative, considered and genuinely enjoyable.
